either an email or snail mail....and since there does not seem to be a pattern we assume it is up to the individual agent handling you file.....

what does it mean when they say "Medical results have been received."
under permanent residence application status? does it mean file has been received at second stage visa office?

it means they have been received by Ottawa and then forwarded to the applicable VO!!

My understanding is that all medicals get forwared to Ottawa from the respective CIC approved doctors and then forwarded to the applicable VO once sponsorship is approved and application sent to the applicable VO.......seems to me to be a wasted step but we are speaking about the Government and we know how they like to make things more difficult then they are....

Can anyone tell me?? How long after your file reaches a visa office abroad do they take to assign it to an officer?? When do they start working on the file??
