Wow, back in September?! I wonder what happened. That's interesting that they're issuing PPR and asking to pay the RPRF at the same time.....although your with New Delhi, right? I guess they do things a bit differently there.

To think that I would have gotten the visa by now! *sigh* Anyway, lets hope for the best. And, yep Im New Delhi, he also mentioned that they are ready to issue the visa, which was a balm to my sore heart ;D ;D

Yeah, I know New Delhi is unique in that it asks for passports pretty quickly but then it doesn't issue the visa for a while.

Well, you weren't getting too restless from what I could see and anyway, you're right, you can't go back to September when they supposedly informed you they were ready for the passport.....you just gotta be happy about it now.

Are they ready to issue the visa because they've already processed the RPRF or are they just going to do both things concurrently?

My husband should be paying it today, so I would say, they would be processing it concurrently. And yes New Delhi does do that, asking for PPR and then taking their own sweet ass time to issue the visas. And there are instances of ND taking longer times to process cases like mine who haven't paid everything upfront. So keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh my gosh, no. I would die if I was (although at least I'd be able to work). We've only been apart for about a month and a half between our wedding and when I moved to Montreal. That's why I can't imagine how people who are apart get through this.....my respect and empathy goes out to them because as frustrating as it is for me, I realize how it doesn't hold a candle to the misery of other people's situations.

Ah yes you are right. It is difficult to be apart. But I guess thinking we have our whole lives together in front of us makes it all better

Hey thanks kuku, here's the number +911141782000. The first time I got the call, I couldnt hear a word and I assumed it to be one of those telemarketing calls. But thankfully, the person called a second time almost immediately.

So according to them, they already sent you a letter of PPR in Sept which is a pretty good time line.

So I believe it is not a bad idea to give them a call after a month of files transfer to VO, just to make sure if they have mailed any letter which did not arrive on mailing address.

Yes, to think that I could have gotten the visa by now if only I had recieved that letter *sigh*. In fact, the first time I logged into my ecas, I saw my correct mailing address and actually felt proud, lol ;D Chalo koi baat nahi

I seriously doubt if they would answer queries over the telephone. Do you know of anyone trying that?

I do not know anyone doing that, but I do know many who get to now the same news as you received on phone ( that a PPR or document requirement was sent earlier but the applicant did not receive it)
So I would not mind bugging them ( on phone or by Email) after a month or so if my wife does not hear anything. Atleast she would not miss any letter sent by them.

LOL, I hope she doesnt ;D My husband threw a fit over the lost ppr but soon came back to his senses ;D
