I have a few questions:

1. Do I have to send IELTS score alongwith the first form?
2. Can I take academic test or do I have to take general test only for IELTS
3. So I have to send the police certificates also with the first form?

Hi,

I am not sure about the other full docs but most of the seniors on the forum are saying that we need to send copies of all supporting documents. But what i am sure and what CIC has said on their website is that they need Police Clearance Certificate and IELTS ( General ) for sure. I guess when they are asking for the PCC then it means they need copy of other supporting docs as well.

IELTS Academic is allowed now....

From Page Number 31,

Note: For the IELTS reading and writing tests, there are ‘General Training' and ‘Academic' options. CIC
only requires to have their proficiency assessed by the ‘General Training' test but will also accept the
results of the ‘Academic' test. .

You must take IELTS before applying Canada PR.

From Page Number 37,

For applications received on or after April 10, 2010, at the
CIO, do not offer the applicant the opportunity to undergo
and submit the results of a designated language test

You must take IELTS exam before applying to sydney. I am no sure about submission of IELTS. You may submit IELTS original result to local embassy, But it is compulsory to have IELTS result to get exacy language point before applying

Yes, you are right there are some changes.
You must

* Include the results of your test with your immigration application.

Note: If you do not include your test results with your application, it will not be processed and will be returned to you.

Note: IELTS has two options for the reading and writing tests: “General Training” and “Academic.” You must take the “General Training” option.

its strange the way they change rules regarding IELTS..sometime ago they started accepting Accademic module also and now they have strictly enforced General module only,despite the fact that Academic module is more tough !

@lovebb : Not only Police certificate ,but also full documents mentioned in visa office specific check list like copies of ur degrees,bank statement,experience certificate,IELTS result,Police certificate etc,i mean all the documents now u have to send with ur initial forms to CIO Sydney Canada !

Thanks! But what kind of stuff will be sent to Buffalo after a full package to NS? My question is for my friend who's going to submit the application.
