July Out of country spousal sponsorship

Hi I am kind of new here and have checked around the family class sponsorship discussions. I have some questions and am happy to share my experiences to date. Has anyone found a July out of country spousal sponsorship discussion? I am assuming that "out of country" refers to my spouse in the Philippines as I am living in Canada and anxiously awaiting information on our application. I see a data list on the side of most discussions that provides specific dates. However, I am not sure how to do this. So for us: We were married in March 2013 in the Philippines where we completed medical and all the required papers to include in our application. I returned to Canada end of March and finalized the papers. I sent the package to Ontario April 29th. I received a text letter July 4 this year informing me that I was approved as sponsor and the papers were forwarded to The Manila Office. When I log online to check the progress, it says " Sponsorship Application Decision Made" and PR Application" "Application Recieved". Within this it says "We received --------------s application for permanent residence on May 30, 2013. Medical results have been received." This is all we know at this point. Not sure about anymore progress. My spouse has not received any texts or letters yet from Immigration Canada. What do you think?

a lot of people join threads according to date (month and year) their application was received by CIC or by the VO that is processing their PR application and get on spreadsheets if they want accordingly. For example, our application was received by CIC in March 2013 and I joined a thread and spreadsheet there. Our VO is Ottawa and I family especially interested in threads posted there. Overall, I follow a lot of threads related to Outland applications and US applicants due to special interest.

sure. When you log in look up to top of page and you will see various tabs such as home, assessment etc click on the one named profile and either create or update it as needed. It will then show your particular info to the left under your member ID. Is this what you mean?

Yes except when I go to profile there is no options for the sidebar items like "application sent" or such

Ha I think I just figured it out. I have to have at least 10 posts before the profile modification sidebar comes up. Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Looks like your process is getting closer with having the passport request. This is good. I did contact the CIC help line a few days ago with a question. I also explained how my spouse was on Samar Island in the Philippines kind of stranded because of the storm and having to deal with her mother dieing during the storm. I asked the guy on the line if she would qualify for expediting the papers. After he spoke with someone for a few minutes, he said yes she likely qualifies and he will forward the information to the office in Manila.

So I jumped the gun on the previous post. Yesterday received an email letter from CIC regarding fast tracking of my spouse's application, she was in Samar during the storm where her mother died. They replied in a vary professional and courteous manner saying that after careful consideration, she does not fit in the category for fast tracking. They said her file will be processed in the normal manner and time frame. I am sad about this, but happy just to receive the reply. At least we now know the application is there on a pile.
