Hello guys, I am planning on applying for express entry (CEC) but i have a question. Does it matter if my work experience does not match my course of study. So i came to Canada on a study permit to study a management course but ended up working in an IT field. will this affect the approval of my CEC application?
Just signed up because I was following this thread to ease my worries.
I applied under CEC EE 1 day after HumphreyHuang, and got my PPR 1 day after HumphreyHuang.

Did you background status ever changed to Not Applicable before it changed to "we are processing your background check..."?
Hi. Pls I am in tight situation. I'm on a closed work permit and I lost my job. It's hard getting a new job. I added my spouse to my PNP PR application is over 16months now no update on my file. Whenever I call file is on queue for review by an officer.
QUESTION: can I apply for CEC with my spouse without a job and do I need to show funds since I am not employed at the moment?
As long as your job position is under NOC 0, A or B, you can apply. You don't need to show proof of fund as a CEC applicant, instead you can attach a letter of explanation stating that you are invited under CEC. Yes, you can apply without a job based on your case, since you've had 16 months of working experience where the minimum requirement is 12 months.
