Hi Guys,

I submitted my application on 19th July 2017 as a FSW-O candidate, Got e-AOR the same day. There was an update on 28th July which changed the following in my application:
UCI generated for me and my dependants.
Medicals: You do not need medical exam ---> Medical Test Passed
Background Check: Not Applicable ----> Your Application is in progress and We'll let you know when we start your background check.
The application is in the same state ever since.

I have submitted "CLEAR" PCC from 3 countries and have travelled extensively in the last 10 years. Is that the reason for delay in my application. I assume the current status is IP1.
I see that for many people this IP1 was 3-4 days max.

Can someone please guide me. Shall I order GCMS notes?

Medicals for pnp have been passed uptil 28th july hopefully you'll get an update tonight

Your file is opened and probably you will have an assigned UCI number by now. Your profile shows your Background Check has moved from NA1 to IP1 and will move back to NA (2) once your Medical is passed.

In Initial Stage, about 3 separate checks are conducted

1. Eligibility Test (You never know about the results unless you order Notes or PPR is made)
2. Admissibility on Medical Ground (Medical Pass)
3. Admissibility on Security Ground (IP1)

So, in your case Schedule Form, A is requested as a part of (1) Eligibility Test (Assumption), Your (2) Medical results are pending, and (3) IP1 has been started which will be completed after both Admissibilities criteria's are met.

Once admissibility assessment is completed your Background will move from IP1 to NA2.

NA2 will not change unless your Eligibility Test is also passed.

After that final A40 Fraud and Misrepresentation Test is performed on all 3 again. Once this final check starts your Background Check will move from NA2 to IP2.

IP2 can take 3 months if there are many red flags or doubts of Fraud or Tempered Documents. Most common delays are seen by the New Delhi Visa Office, especially regarding employment certificates.

However, if an officer was completely satisfied at the initial stage and there were no criminal traces and security risks found during IP1 then you can expect to get PPR after 20 days on average after IP2 was started.

Additional documents can be asked at any stage for any of the above-stated steps, however, change in profile status will help you predict when you may expect PPR.

Final Notes:

Taking a look at the speed of your profile it looks like your PPR will be sent in November.

Your application is in the same stage as indicated in my earlier post however in your case your Medical is passed. Your IP1 is taking time as there may be need for further verification regarding security and criminal records.

The second reason can be that CIC is expected to clear applicants from prior months this week which may delay processing of applications. However, your application is expected to move from IP1 to NA2 by this Saturday.

hi guys, my current status has been the same since i remember and I am wondering if any of u can help me understand if i am in IP1 or IP2 and should i order GCMS notes. AOR July 12th, RPRF request July 27th, RPRF paid Aug 2nd.

I'm aor july 12 and medical passed on the same day as you, still no update for me too. I was checking on the tracker and I think there are a lot of people with the same case, specially from those who got medical passed on july 24,25 and 26. I don't know if there a reason.

Wording of Background Check and RPRF request both indicates IP2. Usually it takes 20 days from start if IP2 to PPR.

RPRF is usually requested once application is approved. Therefore, it is a good sign.

I'm aor july 12 and medical passed on the same day as you, still no update for me too. I was checking on the tracker and I think there are a lot of people with the same case, specially from those who got medical passed on july 24,25 and 26. I don't know if there a reason.

I'm on the same boat mate. I thought my case was going pretty quick with AOR July 16th and medicals passed on July 24th. However, I haven't had any updates since that.

Hi mine is 28th July AOR , Medicals pass on 10th August. Called IRCC help line number they told my Criminality check and R10 Completeness is also pass . But my Background Check status is Not Applicable. I never saw it moving to in progress . Where am I now . Is it NA1 or NA2 . Can someone plesee help
