Scheduled for citizenship test: Sep 29, 2023 (Oct 3 - Oct 23)
Citizenship test completed: Oct 5, 2023

When I was doing the online citizenship test, I accidentally moved the mouse on the bottom right corner and that whether pop up screen came up, the test said I opened a new tab, but it allowed me to continue. Now I am afraid they might think I cheated. Did that happen to anyone else? Now, I am super anxious to see if the test was passed. Thanks

It should be fine. An officer reviews it and marks it complete, in case of no issues. In the end it shows you the score. Didn't you see your score in the end? You already know if you passed

Thank you. Can't wait to see Test Completed on portal. Yes, it did showed the result as passed, but I thought that was automatic and that officer would review it after.

Just had a call with IRCC agent. My test shows completed on portal since September 13. However LPP has not even started unfortunately. This is quite disappointing. Agent mentioned my application is "parked' but doesnt see any issue. No clue whats going on

For me: About 3 weeks after I submitted FP, my background was completed. I had sent an email to the address where I received fp request about 2 days before the status changed. They never replied and the auto-response reply said that they will not reply to status requests. Not sure my email mattered but I think it is a good idea to send them an email around 18-20 day mark after you submit FP's.
Hi, did you see in your tracker both updates (FP request and FP received)? I got FP request two weeks ago, and submitted my FP the day after. I saw a ghost update on September 26th (5 days later FP was requested), but I do not see any new entry on my tracker..

I did see three updates on tracker. First one "Fingerprints required" on Aug 22nd. I submitted my FP's on Aug24th. Then I saw two updates ( "Fingerprint results received":Sep-11 and "Background verification completed":Sep12th but both reflected on tracker the same date i.e. Sep14th.

Hope this helps. Your ghost update could on Sep-26th could be anything. Hopefully it is not one of the longer processes on security clearance.

Best of Luck!

hi, do you need to inform ircc when you got the fingerprint done ?

Not necessary. But I sent an email around the 18 day mark. My status changed soon after but otherwise also FP requests take about 2-3 weeks. So not sure my email had an impact.

Thank you for the reply, did you use webform ?

No. I replied to the same email from where I got the FP request.
Mine is a bit different, I got requested FP September 16th and only one week later, when i haven't submitted the FP I got invited to the test. As of today, I submitted my fingerprint on Oct 3rd and test Oct 4th and the tracker updated my test is complete even tho my fingerprint is still out there somewhere.

Hi,

I've been invited for the test and did the test yesterday but my background has not been completed yet. Comparing to the others' timelines, I see everyones' background is completed first and then they got invited for the test, should I be worry about it or call the IRCC and ask?
Does anyone have the similar situation?

I did my test in August and only got FP request two weeks ago, so not everybody follows the same path :)
