Hi,

I applied for my mother’s visitor visa on July 17, 2022. I received a refusal yesterday, however I did not receive correspondence refusal letter in my account . I assumed you always get the generic refusal letter or something, but we did not receive anything. Had that happened to anyone else?

Where you applied from?

What do the refusal notes say?
Did you choose Visitor or Super Visa during your application?
Are you a Citizen or a Permanent resident?

Was it super visa?

So you helped her submit the application. You didn't really "apply" for her. For a regular visitor visa, she needs to show own proof of funds and ties to home country. You can apply for her if you're a resident. Check that out: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...nada/parent-grandparent-super-visa/apply.html
No I applied as an unpaid representative through the new IRCC portal. We did show my mother’s proof of funds and ties to her home country. I understand it was refused, but like I said, we didn’t receive a refusal letter that gives the reasons as to why it was refused. And yes I am resident of Canada, I have my PR.

Yeah, super visa is better in that case. It's way faster too. Since you're in Canada, you can request your GCMS Notes from the IRCC.

Hello, I have applied for Temporary Resident Visa(TRV) through GCKey and I have yet to receive any update. Note that I have a valid B1/B2 US Visa and I have used it to visit USA.

Application submission date: 09 July 2022
Biometrics Completed: 22 July 2022
Point of origin: UAE
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information

Is this normal or at least the review of eligibility should have started by now?

Hi, your eligibility review has already started, as you can see in your review of eligibility status. It already indicates it has started. We have to just keep waiting for more updates. Hope it helps.
