Security is last stage in processing before PPR. I think even if somehow we reach security stage - which is unlikely, since most of us got BIL/MEP in Nov-Dec - we won't get PPR. A lot of profiles from 2019-2020 are stuck in Security and there is no way Jul21 lot will get PPR before them. I could be wrong though :p
I wonder how much is that remaining lot really? And will it be overly optimistic to think about Feb/March ?

If you look at immitracker (I know it is not updated regularly) you can see people from US have been getting PPRs. PNP is stuck at Sep-Oct 2020 and for FSW there are so many applicants stuck from 2019-20. So I think it is unrealistic, maybe even impossible, to think Mar-Apr unless you are from US.

It just doesn't make sense we are having background checks progressing now though. Why not just leave those and focus on the backlog? Would we pass our background checks then wait in limbo for months awaiting PPR? I doubt it but I'm thinking optimistically here.

A lot of people from 2019-2020 are getting re-med request and shortly after they get PPR mail. Which means everything else is passed in their files except for security. Once re-med is passed, VO approve security and send PPR.
I think if this continues, we'll get stuck at security and then wait for backlog to clear 100% or at the least 50%. Then IRCC will focus on 2021 applicants.
So let's see they VO starts sending PPR aggressively to backlog applicants.

I think they'll want to avoid new remed requests - extra hassle for everyone. But yes I'm expecting a wave of PNP backlog PPRs but then fast catchup

Yes it is a hassle for everyone involved including IRCC.
I believe this quarter Jan-Mar would show us if IRCC can walk the talk. It is clear in mandate letter that backlog should be their priority. I haven't seen any progress in last 11 days. Let's see what the picture is in March :)

Nice, you're all set then. With eligibility passed, it's now 100% that you will get your PR. It's just a matter of time now. I'm AOR August so I think it's too early for me to call.
