Kudos to CTV.
I wish CTV does the same for everyone waiting on their oath ceremonies for months and months, and some for even years.

The complete IRCC circus should be fired immediately, starting with their minister first. They take home handsome salaries for doing absolutely nothing. If the media has to contact to get people their oath ceremonies scheduled, this shouldn’t happen in a country like Canada. These are signs of a rotten and corrupt system.

The IRCC needs a complete modernization, improvement, transparency and accountable people sitting and running the department.

@Najabad14 congrats finally some movement with Ottawa office.

You can expect to receive an email few days before the ceremony, if you don't try to call the call centre to confirm if the invite was sent out.


When did you take the test? And when did your physical residentce, prohibition and language turned to complete?

I appeared for citizenship test on 14 December and 24th December online status changed to test completed and all other processes are changed to completed as well.
5th of jan oath ceremony invitation on online and today I received official email for oath ceremony.

You should receive the email sometime next week. Anywhere upto 2 days prior to the big day. Call and email them in case you don't receive early it by next week. Congrats!

I appeared for citizenship test on 14 December and 24th December online status changed to test completed and all other processes are changed to completed as well.
5th of jan oath ceremony invitation on online and today I received official email for oath ceremony.

I am quite impressed that everything got completed with your test completed , then oath in a month and no interview or passport request, wow that is something very different from what we saw, particularly from Ottawa office. Was your application an urgent processing? Or if you can share anything you thing that you think may helped you.

The thing I don't understand is why IRCC always act quicker on applications after getting attention on Media or getting a demand letter from a lawyer. Like seriously! I haven't worked in an organization where we didn't had any KPIs. Hoping things would be better by 2050.

just received an actual email for the oath with all instructions
oath is scheduled for Jan 13, oath update was back in August

It should be updated on the old system? https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=
If not very soon. I think they do their updates between 8AM and 10AM approx. EST
Then everything on the new portal should update apart from 'Oath not started' which is where I've been stuck for 2-3 months now.
Hopefully it'll update soon (don't panic for a few days) and be completed with a blue passport in your hand before next Ukranian Christmas
