For the online test, it says you need an ID with a signature on it like your pr card. There is no signature on my pr car, what did you guys use. Please advise

How long does it take to update the test completed? I wrote my test on Monday and it still shows they were waiting on me to take the test.

I wrote test July 2 and it was updated July 9

So it is a week

I think they are just overwhelmed at the moment, not sure that wold make a difference, but then again anything is worth a try I guess.

Our (family of 3) paper application for citizenship got delivered on April 15, 2021, and AOR came on July 23, 2021.
We looked into the Old ECAS and it shows that processing has started effective Sep 9, 2021, but we are not sure why the BG check has not yet been completed. Usually, the BG check gets completed within a few days from the processing date shown in the old ECAS.

Is it normal? please advise

I hope you and your family is doing well.

BG shouldn't be updated as complete in a few days. Usually it could be a few weeks or a month or two months I believe.
You should be fine and currently they are processing slow, so you should expect it to be updated late.
BG is usually fingerprint request if required and running online RCMP check, nothing big. If you gave fingerprint in last 10 years or in Canada to RCMP, then they won't request fingerprint.
They may hold running your BG check as it expires in a year and they have to redo it.

I hope above information helps. I was wondering why did you go with paper application while they started online portal from 2021?

I called CIC and they told me that our criminality check has been completed but the security check is still in progress since Sep 9th. They confirmed that a fingerprint is not required as a criminality check has been completed. Our file has been sent to the local office in Edmonton.

Regarding the online application, when I tried using this option, it was not letting me do it for all family members together therefore we used a paper application. It seems online application works for single applicants only.

Now the question arises how long IRCC will take to complete our security check as it's been in progress since Sep 9th?

I Just read the Discovery Canada on my Cel 3 times since i received the invitation. And take the practise test many time in between.
Reset all progress in the Settings and new sets of test will comes out.
I memorized the Provinces and territories and its capital
10 significant people in the history just not make me confuse. You will know it those coz it always repeated in the practice test.
About the responsibilities and rights, government you already knew it and read those in everyday life.

Nov 3, 2021: Received 'Notice to Appear for Interview via MS Teams' via email (yes, I received this notice even before I did the online test).
Nov 6, 2021: Online Citizenship test completed (passed with 19 of 20).
Nov 10, 2021: Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed in online tracker.
Nov 25, 2021: Scheduled 'INTERVIEW WITH A CITIZENSHIP OFFICIAL AND VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY/DOCUMENTS'

Update to above timeline, please update google from:
November 25th 2021: Interview via Microsoft Teams completed mainly for document check (passport etc...).
November 25th, 2021: Physical presence activity status updated to completed
November 25th, 2021: Language skills activity status updated to completed
November 25th, 2021: Prohibitions activity status updated to completed
November 25th, 2021: Citizenship ceremony not started yet
November 26th, 2021: eCAS status is 'Decision made'

Hi Aman,

I can't say about security check timeline as they will check all family record with US officials as a part of security check I believe.
Keep fingers crossed and wish for the best.

Make sure you regularly check status online as some people didn't receive test invitation including myself.
You can give test online once shown window opens.
