Mine and my wife's background verifications are showing as completed since February. My son's is still "in progress".
He's 8 years old, has spent half his life in Canada... what on earth could they be checking?

Thank-you very much for replying to my query. Just FYI I had a very smooth PR process never had anything out of timeframe.
Last time when I called I was was told that my application was in que to be accepted at my local office. Now when I again inquired after few weeks I was told that local office has accepted my application and has completed security but criminality check is still in process.
The same call center guy told me that once completeness check is done, application details entered into the system and AOR sent out it's all upto the local office which does the rest of the processing. Not sure how accurate is this information.
I applied for GCMS note last week and sent web form as well.. not sure how long it will take for them to respond.

That's all good news. The fact that the local office has your file means that its in progress (however slow). GCMS note typically will take 30 calendar days +/- a couple of days.

my background check passed but my son who is three years old and his background check is in progress

I moved 5 times during my eligibility period so I have 5 different address & 4 employers on my citizenship application. Does anybody know if that's is causing delay in background verifications -criminality to be specific?

I got the test notification email today. I'll report back once we complete (and hopefully pass!) the test. Test window: May 14th -June 6th.

Hi guys

I looked at new tracker. It is kinda tricky. They treat AOR date as the date they received application. In the past processing atarts from day they physically receive application, not AOR date.

Sovdoes this mean I am only 5 months in the process instead of almost 1 year?

Took 4 days for me. Passed the test on Thursday and was updated on portal on Monday.
