AOR 9th, 2020
Eligibility recommended passed in 2020, medical and biometric done.
Called IRCC 3-4 times including today and there is no change since then. Criminality under process and security not yet started. I don't know why it's taking so much time. Is there anyone facing the same thing? My v.o. is Sydney.
I asked the agent and she was like it will take some months. It's already been 5 months and I can see people getting COPR. I don't know how much months they need to process the security thing. I lived only in India and Canada only.

I applied with an immigration consultant, I don't have log in to the portal. I asked him, he said GMCS notes takes 3 months. Not sure what to do
lol... he is trying to blow you off. gcms doesnt take 3 months, i mean it can but usually 30-40 days. i got mine in 28 days :/ just tell them to apply for it even if it takes 3 months we're waiting now anyway what difference does it make

I dont think you need the lawyer/consultant to apply for yhem. I think you can apply gor it yourself. Same with calling.

What's the best time to reach IRCC? Everytime I call they always disconnect saying - we are currently experiencing heavy calls and can't reach any agent.
People need to slow down for their biometric refunds.

Why would you use a consultant when the express entry is the easiest and straight forward system? I just don't get it unless people have a valid reason.
Some people might have overwhelming anxiety from any sort of application. Others might not trust their English/ French enough to understand all of the requirements. There are plenty of valid reasons why folks might want to use a representative for their application, given its importance. Maybe focus more on your own, and less on what others choose to do with their resources.

There are also a ton of consultants/lawyers who scam potential clients in to believing they cant do it alone.

I was planning on using a consultant or lawyer as my application is far from straight forward, and vetted a few. All of them said the same thing about my access to my application. I’m too much of a control freak to accept that. One of the lawyers, I left the office thinking I knew more about the process than they did.

None of the steps I've gone through to get to where i am today, was done through some agency. Study visa, study work permit, co-op permit, pgwp, LMIA, and now PR application.

My help has been this forum, reading the immigration officers manual on certain things, GCMS notes, and so far it has saved me thousands of dollars, and every step up to now has been successful. I may or may not get pr on this application and if i dont, i’ll get another one in soon enough.

AOR July 8, after two Ghost Updates (one yesterday, another one 10 days ago), I have received a "Request Letter" in my portal asking to fill in a CV based on the provided template, Schedule A form (personal history), and Travel History. They provided a 7 days deadline for that. It is strange that I have already provided all these in my original application. Does anyone know how to fill in the CV template? it is not editable.
