I cannot give an answer but I attended a webinar from Moscow embassy on various questions. On a different type of visa (I think student but don't recall) they said they would mostly be automatically extending the validity of medical exams, and in some other cases not automatically extending but 'expected' to extend the validity.
So I think there is some hope - at this point only a hope - that they will have a bias to extending the validity of medical exams, particularly if only for a few months.
I think this makes quite a lot of sense and particularly for family class, where the purpose of the medical exam is more limited (mainly dangers to Canadians i.e. communicable diseases) and not about cost of medical care. They are also aware that the processing is not cost-free for government either.
Again, no guarantees and this may not apply at all for cases where medical results are much more out of date. (And as this drags on the results will only get more out of date)
There is no way to guarantee

Click on check ur application status, than what did u apply for (family sponsorship) continue, bring down the page and click on online tool where it says both you and the person sponsoring can check the statues of ur application by using our online tool, it will bring u to the security agreement check the box and click on continue, now this last part fill in the sponsor's information. I choosed unique client identifier, and entered the sponsor's uci number, than enter sponsor's last name ( sometime its sensitive in this part I had to put all letters in capital, so u might have to try both small and capital letter to see which one works fir u, not everyone had the same experience ofcourse), than enter sponsor's birthday and place of birth, so everything u enter has to be sponsor's info not the applicant than click on continue.
It's all done bring down the page u should be able to see both sponsor application status and permanent residence application statues. Good luck
