I called again today IRCC today and they said still the certificate hasn't been mailed!!!!!!!!!!! and Canada post may take up to 8 weeks to deliver. Very confused. My Ecas shows complete since early Oct.
Finally I received today by mail my citizenship certificate.

Hi Guys,

I'm a July 2019 applicant. I passed my test FEB 7th 2020 and my Oath day was SEP 25th. I'm waiting to get my certificate delivered for 20 days now. I called IRCC and i was told that my certificate was sent October 1st and is it normal for shipping time to be so long? Did any one had the same scenario?

Thanks in Advance
It is sent via Canada post. It should not take that long. May be report you have not received it. Do you get Canada post delivered or door step or in mail box ? If mail box sometimes when mail is not checked in a week they take it back to closest post office. Happened to me so I had to go and get all mail from them

I think its so frustrating that during PR applications the expectations is for us to provide a prepaid envelope with tracking but they don't offer the same courtesy of our only document proving our status after making us cut our PR cards. While I appreciate the measures taken to administer the oath virtually, they really could have spent the $10 to provide tracking.

They told me I can't file that something is "lost" until 8 weeks after they mail it.

Not sure if this is helpful or not but I also posted this on a topic I posted on yesterday.

I contacted my local MP, first by email almost 2 weeks ago and received no reply. I then went on FB and posted on his FB page that I was looking for some answers about my Citizenship application, that was last week, again NO reply. Then on Monday I went back to his Facebook page and posted the following.

I guess you have no answer to my question about Citizenship. I am not suprised by the lack of response from our local MP, I even sent you an email asking for your time and help with NO response from that either. ELECTIONS ARE NOT THAT FAR AWAY AND NOW I KNOW WHERE I STAND WITH YOU.

I recieved a phone call from my MP and was told that someone else was going to call me, wanting more information and a call would be made on my behalf to Ottawa and they would call me back with any information that they could get.
Well it seems that the processing office in WINDSOR Ontario is completely closed and nothing has been done there since MARCH when things shut down. No updates, no processing of any application's, NOTHING.
I was also informed that they still have not done the checks needed for verification of time spent in Canada. I was told repeatedly that the only thing that needed to be done was my Interview then the Oath. I have been told that everything was in order by many people who work at IRCC but evidently I was lied to.

So good luck getting correct information on the phone, it seems that the only way to get information is to make a fuss with someone who has access to the government and that's not us.

Just got my cert in the mail today.

For context.
Mississauga office
Oath Date Sept 25/ ecas to complete on October 7/Received in the mail oct 29. Stamp on envelope read oct 26 even though they said they mailed out on the 7th.

so relieved.

Apply for GCMS notes. It will tell you which step your application is at right now.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did apply some time back in June and got them after 2 weeks or so. It is little difficult to interpret them but what I understood that mostly the background checks etc. were done and I was supposed to get a test and interview invite in April and then all of that were canceled as per the notes. I have not heard about any test/interview invite received by anyone during all these months. It has been 15 months now since submission. My fear is if IRCC has no plan for us (which looks like the case unfortunately), then we might face a "very long delay". Rest, God knows.

How do we apply for the GCMS Notes?

Hi guys. Once they receive our application, are they going to send us email or regular mail?

Also I will stay out of country for a while. Is it going to affect my application in any way possible?

Thanks.
