hi , last monday I send my application citizenship form to immigration , how long it to send me a confirmation ? the confirmation is going to be sent by email or mail ?

I'm not sure how the COVID situation will affect times now, but before the AOR would take a few months (2-3) on average. If you provided an email with your application, you'll get it by email, otherwise by mail.

This thread here is for people who applied in July 2019. You might want to look for the June 2020 thread so you'll be able to follow the whole process along with others roughly in the same boat as you.

Nobody sitting by the side to share screen but somebody can video/ photograph you in the room, no problem with that!
Cool thanks.

Hmm, any idea how the pick who gets to do a virtual one? My original ceremony was schedule a few days before some members from the same city who got a virtual ceremony, so I am worried. But I guess capacity is very low.

Guys, Just a quick update. Had my virtual citizenship today through zoom. Super easy, only half an hour duration. They will make sure the address, will check the PR card and another photo ID. They will describe the process (total of 4 officials including clerk, judge, and 2 more persons including a person who knows how to operate the zoom. You can take photos and videos. You have to recite the oath and in the end, just sign the oath form and scan it back to them. You also have to cut the PR card into pieces in front of the camera. The certificate will be mailed in 2 weeks. My journey to citizenship ends here. Good luck to everybody who is in line. Seems like this provision at this point is only available to people who have already passed the test.
Hi Sam8119, congratulations! Can we use our mobile phone for zoom during virtual oath ceremony or we need to have it done on our laptop?

Just checked Ecas and saw that my citizenship ceremony is set for July 13th, rescheduled from March 24, although I have not received an email.

I am not sure if it is online or in-person.

I think they are opening up cwhile making sure to follow social distancing. I read in forum, people getting online oaths have no changes in Ecas, they were called once and email after. Even after the email no changes in Ecas. I hope they start scheduling the test as well.

Check your mail box too you might receive in Mail too, if status is changed in ECAS

I was February 10, also still no news. They told me it would take 2-4 months to verify land crossings, and then the pandemic happened...so I have no idea where it is in the process now.
I had mine in November 2019, no news after that.

Thanks, Yes you can. Did you get an invite?
No, not yet. I am just thinking if i can use my mobile phone for zoom since my laptop camera doesn't work and it's not practical to buy a new laptop when my old one still works. Covid 19 affects our income tremendously.

A phone should work. You can also try getting a tiny webcam that be attached to your computer via a USB port. There are ones for under $50 on Amazon.
