Canadian citizenship - Minors (under 18 years of age) under subsection 5(2) is for minors who apply along with their parent/guardian. While Canadian citizenship - Minors (under 18 years of age) under subsection 5(1) is used for standalone applications for minors (residency requirements will have to be met for these applications). As far as I know, there is no long term impact on the child as a citizen though second generations rules might apply to your child's grandchildren.
If you haven't applied as yet, please post your question to March 2020 Thread.
This thread is for July 2019 Applicants.

Congrats!

Did they ask for passport stamps translation?

Thanks

No they did not. My passport was full of stamps as I travel for work. Have quite a few from the Middle East which I thought would be a concern but it didn't come up. The officer was very cordial and was able to verify my travel (I saw a copy of the residence calculator I sent in July with red check marks).

Hi all, I still have not received my test invite. Getting worried because others before/around my timeline already received decisions/oath dates.

Will the test invite show in e-cas? Don't see updates after "in-process 11/15/2019".

Does anyone know how I can follow up or should I be more patient and wait? Thanks!

Gave my Test on Jan 09 Scarborough, and no update after that. Still says in progress.
Does anyone else have such a long wait after the test?
