updated and yes, standardGood news!
App Delivered: July 24
AOR Received: October 11
Question: Is this standard content in AORs (see below), and there is no action required of me yet at this time aside from preparing for citizenship exam? TIA.
All citizenship applicants between 18 and 54 years of age on the date they sign their application must meet language and knowledge requirements to become a Canadian citizen. If this includes you, you will need to:
• Demonstrate competence in basic communication in English or French.
• Pass a written or if necessary, an oral test on your knowledge of Canada and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship
If you click on it, does it say: we started processing your application on Oct... ?I received my AOR email last night and this morning I have access to the site. It says Application Received, then below it says Application In Process. Both of these things are in RED, so as I understand it, my application is now being prossed?
Am I correct or wrong in my thinking about it?
I think it is a table to understand these terms. Your application status is the one which is shown on the first page. If it says "application received", then it is just received. When the process is started, it will become "in process" and line 3 will be added that we have started processing your application on this date.Sylvain1 , this is where I got the information from and why my question. Under client information status I got this.
Then under that there is the following
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 25, 2019.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 11, 2019.
The following tables will help you understand the status of your application.
First line under that heading is
Application for Canadian Citizenship.
Click on that and it brings up what my question was about. The status of your application. Under Recieved it is highlighted in RED. Then under In Process that is Also in RED. Next says Decision made is in Black not red.
The first two points are the same as my wife (except the date), but nowhere can we see in process for my wife. I think your application will be in process when you will see a point number 3 saying something like we started processing your application on (date). Typically (from data from previous months), it should appear 40-45 days after getting AOR unless an urgent processing was requested.Sylvain1 , this is where I got the information from and why my question. If you like you can fill your spreadsheet cells by providing us your Location. Application type (Single,Family) and Physical presence days.Delivered on the 24th of July.AOR received on Oct 11.
Actually called the CIC to check my file earlier this morning, the answer was not opened yet, then received the AOR this afternoon. I also tried to clarify the confusion most of us have. So it turns out most of the time, they process the applications by the dates. However, because we applicants mailed our applications in different ways, so there might be different piles, so this would affect applicants differently, that's why some people's application delivered earlier but got AOR later, some people delivered later but received AOR earlier...But as CIC claimed they have opened all the applications received before the 15th of July, unless there is some specific reason. So if delivered later than 15th, but haven't received your AOR, don't worry about it too much.....
I love this forum before I got PR, lots of great information.
I know still lots of waitings for every step since now.....
According to spreadsheet, there are two applications delivered on 26 July and received AOR on 08 OCT:Anyone received AOR from July 26th delivered application date?
Thanks
