Most of July are in same boat. Myself Indian submitted on July 3rd. Mine is transferred to New Delhi since then no update. You should try to know Ankara visa office is currently processing for which month. suppose If Ankara visa office processing currently April/May then yours is not far.

WE are also same like you. Can't expect immediate response from them..You can expect a Background Check for Applicant if it is started or not?
Usually BGC is a good sign but that also can take from week to months. Also if BGC started most cases; that happens only if they decide NO interview.but again we cant figure out exactly how they work! Your best bet is to WAIT and WAIT at least till MID JAN, let this Holidays season pass. And we'll see if any member in Canada gets updates from Sydney. Hope this is helpful

Good Q. We found out from GCkeys, as it changed from NOT started to :- We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." Another method fro detailed information is order GCMS notes for $5 only just have to attach a form and in 30 days you will get what's going on. Other way is to phone some kind agent (not all) may be able to read notes and tell you briefly. Mostly agents will advise you that it takes 1 year don't worry.GCMS notes do not hurt application process in anyways. But should order after min 6 months from recvd date, if nothing is seen on GCkey or stuck in some stage. I am going to order soon.
"Not recommended" is putting it lightly. A PR must be inside Canada to sponsor. If IRCC finds out about this, the application will be rejected.

Its been very late, I am sure you guys has tried calling CIC agents?? Did they give you any info? I know sometimes they do not tell you anything they just repeat that its 1 year process and all cases are different. But I suggest you to call them little frequent you may end up with an good agent who will be able to tell you exact and may help you by sending an notification to visa officer who is sitting on your file.
Yeah..We called CIC so many times but they don't provide exact info about our file.The only thing they keep saying is that "Your file is in system and we will get back to you when we will start the process". I have no idea what's going on. It's very frustrating..Every morning when I get up in the hope of that something good will happen but at the end of the day... Again disappointment.
Decision Made and COPR today, after one month and 3 weeks since they transferred the file to BVO.
