Why don't you apply for Visitor extension online? Because once you apply online, you will get the notice right way, then you don't need to worry your visa expire or not. CIC will considered you have implied status as a temporary resident during that period.

did you apply for an open work permit as well? if so, you have implied status until a decision is made on your work permit. if your application however is returned, you will be out of status and will need to apply to restore your status before you send application again

Thank you for your advice. My husband received a notification here some information:

Our application was sent 30 July and delivered by post at 31 July 2018.
Apply for sponsorship under family class 31 July 2018, RP ,OWP, Extension of Visitor Visa.
My husband received AOR email by 28 August 2018 since there we did not receive any thing.

My question is what is the next step? How do I know the process of my OWP? and which is the next step? And how long wanna take?

I have the CIC account but I don't know how to link as the AOR was written to my husband.

Please help.

I received AOR on 2nd August 2018, and I had confirmation that my OWP was approved today. I’d guess from your timeline that you’d have your OWP approved in around 3-4 weeks. It seems IRCC is approving OWPs in approximately 3 months from the date they receive your application.

The important step for you now, is to link your application. You’ll receive updates online, you’ll receive an e-mail to inform you when IRCC are assessing eligibility and when your OWP is approved, etc.

It’s a bit of a pain to link the applications, but it’s worth the effort and the online portal on IRCC’s website becomes your sole source of information for your application. It will also be the place you can track your PR application too. So you’ll eventually get your medical request, sponsor approval, landing interview, etc, all from the website.

There’s a guide on IRCC’s website and lots of information on this forum to help you through the linking process. Good luck with it and I hope your OWP is approved soon.
