I'm July 2018 Scarborough applicant(living in North York, Toronto )

I contacted my MP yesterday, and they contacted IRCC and got updated my case immediately.

· Exam is still not scheduled for your application because there is a backlock for citizenship application at Scarborough Processing Centre

· Criminality check passed

· Security check passed

· Recommend to check again in 6-8 weeks

I saw that May 2018 Scarborough applicants started to get test invite since mid July. I think that's why they recommend me check in 6~8 weeks again.

Hi all,

I just received my Test Invite scheduled on Sept. 04, 2019 at Mississauga Office. The notice states what to bring with you to the test. I will keep you posted. Hope more July applicants will receive Test Invite soon.

Read Discover Canada book couple times.
Try to make it interesting and dont try to mug up things.

You can also download couple apps on your phone for citizenship tests and give the tests whenever you have free time (while u r commuting, spending time in toilets - believe me this is the best use of this idle time, or just have some free time)

I also used Richmond library practice test.

I was also in same situation, and not good in mugging up dates and names.
But once you start giving those sample tests, you will learn many things.

And as everyone says, the test is easier than it feels.
So do your study and dont worry too much.

I'm confused how come Scarborough center very busy to give you test date for who applied in july 2018

But they not busy for who apply in feb 2019

Just wondering if the staff told you the oath would be expected to happen in October? Anytime sooner in Mississauga office? My test will be in about 1 month and I am just wondering how soon the oath will be.

I am going to 14th months with my application. I am in Scarborough and still waiting for how many months more. I don't even receive any notes from the IRCC about my whole family application to Citizenship. I am excited because the whole family of 6 applied at the same time. I dont know if there is a delay if you have too many application forms in one envelope, but it seems that is the issue why our application is going to 14 months now without any note or status updates. But what can we do, just wait..wait..and wait...AGAIN..for how many months more.
