I finally heard back some news! Yesterday (Jul 11) I got an email for the citizenship test. the date will be on Aug 03 in misssissauga. can someone please update my info? Line 80.

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this form. I got a test date after one year. I applied for citizenship on July 12th and my test date is July 31st. I have a question, they are asking me to bring my passports. Are they going to keep it after the test or do I surrender the passports later? If later, what stage?? The reason I'm asking because I have a trip scheduled for August 2 and I need my passport to travel out of town. Any advice?

Congrats for those who received the Test Invite today!

I just applied ATIP to check my application status. Just wondering if you guys have done that and have uploaded any documents when you applied. I didn't upload any documents and not sure if it is necessary to do so. Any advice?

Nowhere in process they keep ur passport neither u have to surrender it. You only surrender after obtaining citizenship that too if ur native country does not allow dual citizenship e.g. india. And that surrender will be after geting canadian passport to the respective authority of ur native country

Today is the one year anniversary of my application. Gave test on Feb 5th 2019. Haven't heard back since for the Oath ceremony.
