Will they always ask for fingerprints?

I'm just like most GTA applicants, waiting here patiently and impatiently while watching others getting their oath =/

the fingerprints are not for all applicants.

Hi All - so my partner finally had his oral exam yesterday (after failing twice the written exam both time for 1 extra mistake), however they told him that the results and a notice will be sent via email in the afternoon or via post mail.

We did not receive any email so far, you can imagine the anxiety around. Does any of you know how this work? If he passed, is he going to receive the oath invite as well?

To me is seems extremely strange that they would not tell him the results on-site. And brutal if indeed a post mail is sent as it takes usually days or week to get to destination...
He applied in July 2018.

Appreciate your attention here people.

Received passport today. I realised that a long journey ended. From study permit to PR to passport. I felt like Candavisa forum is a family. We knew each other. Everyday morning I had to open the site to see what , who is updating each an every day. Wish you everyone come to an end the journey. Good luck.

Hi guys! I've just joined your lovely forum since I have certain concerns about my application.
Here's my info:

Location: London, ON
Sent: July 18, 2018.
AOR: September 11, 2018.
IP: October 9, 2018.
Fingerprints requested: November 19, 2018.

Nothing since. When should I expect my test? In July or September?
This situation started to bother me a lot, since it's the end of May already and I haven't heard anything from them.
Also, I've no idea why they asked for my fingerprints... I have absolutely no criminal record... But I suppose travelling for prolonged periods of time could've affected it.

I just have no idea why they're processing it for such a long time...

I would suggest you to order an ATIP request also send and web form. I have heard some people sent web form then within 1/2 days they received test invite.

I did it since I have to travel unless its not bad to wait for 10 business days. You have waited almost an year so one and half week would be fine. cheers.

Yup, 10 days isn’t that bad. Besides, our first travel as Canadians will be in Sept. I can’t wait
