The call centers are pretty much useless, a waste of tax payers money IMHO. As you can see in the spreadsheet, some people from end of July received AOR and the post above, where someone from July 09 already got decision made. I have a hard time believing they are still on July 13.

Just for an example: When My sister was taking her citizenship test, she had friends who applied 6 months before her and were still waiting to take theirs. Sometimes It's just a matter of luck. When dispatching the enveloppes, if yours falls in the hands of a productive agent or even in the most recent pile.

Lolz you are doing like me, I used to open mail box every evening was thinking will see a big envelop. You guys will see AOR tomorrow or next week.

This is VERY true. Unfortunately, luck plays a role in this process. I work in a mortgage processing center and thousands of applications come in. However based on various factors they get decisioned in different timelines. Like they pull a file for training purposes and gets approved in one day or they may escalate one file because the agent doesnt have authority to approve yet so the file stays in escalation queue for days. I understand mortgage and citizenship applications are not comparable but what I am saying is that this system applies to many things in Canada. Luck is one of the factors, it could be either in our favour or not.
