Applied 13th July, app received 16th July. No AOR received as yet.

Are all AOR by email?

So for those of you who know the process inside and out, if my application was going to be returned, would it normally be done before I got my AOR (in case I *God forbid* had a mistake on it or forgot to fill in/sign something)? I got my AOR last week, but im noticing that the people who got their applications returned didn't get their AOR prior to the return. For some reason I thought that only when it is "in process" will they do a thorough look through all your documents and then send back if it is necessary. I just want to know if i am the clear, and if Im through the first part of the vetting process, which would be quite relieving to hear, since im not fantastic at this paperwork stuff. Mind you, I never had any issue doing any of my previous visa's or PR paperwork, but this one has me pretty nerve wrecked for some reason.

Thanks for the answers.

Hi all,
My application was delivered on July 18 and no AOR yet. Should I contact CIC?

As far as I know, you will only get AOR after your documents are thoroughly checked and all is good. When you receive AOR your file will be transferred to your local office for further processing. You can sleep easy as you're in the clear.

Application received on 13 July.No AOR yet
You're still within what I'd consider normal threshold, which is up to 12 weeks from date application arrived. If you haven't pass that window I'd say continue to be positive and wait. Best of luck!

Good Morning,
Bad news, my application was returned today. The reason was that the Academic IELTS was not accepted for my husband.
It doesn't make any sense to me as the Academic IELTS is harder than General. He has to take a General test and then we can send back the application. Please update the file, I am line 69.
Thank you.

Hi Justyna,

just wondering, if your college education was in English, and you can get a letter from College/ university saying the same, it could also be accepted as proof of language. It would be easiest wayout. I did the same for me and my wife, and it was accepted as proof.

All the best for whatever option your husband chooses.
