No. Actually, that is absolutely good news. It is a major clue that your security check has been completed.
Does a red med then suggest that for those who get the request, more time is needed on their application

Hi all,

I need a serious advice. I have been asked to redo my medicals. I have booked my date but all I have recieved after a wait of 11 months is a request to redo my medicals. I am having thoughts of withdrawing the application because all this makes no sense to me. I may provide the medical results to just wait for another 11 probable months.

I would suggest to redo your medicals and good news is around the corner. By the way why is your case taking so long, it would be really helpful to us us if you could share the specifics?

Hey Guys, i called IRCC today and was able to speak to an agent, he confirmed that i passed the eligibility and the back ground check (yet no updates on my profile) and he confirmed that the officer processing my application is waiting to take a decision on my meds (if i need to redo the medicals or just use the one i initially submitted) he confirmed that i should hear from them a month from now. I am just wondering what this means? is this good or bad news? and what should i expect? does this mean PPR soon?

The work loads has increased significantly at CIC Ottawa office and it's causing a drastic delay. Many files are pending final review by the officer.

Any reason on your delay, are you in review required?

Don't withdraw. Redo your medical and submit. You are very close to the final decision. Did you ever order GCMS notes or talked to IRCC about the delay?

Yes I did, they said it requires review. I additionally asked them that what could be the reason... according to then it could be that the visa officer finds something confusing or needs to review something extra. But the reason is completely dependent on the visa officer.

Yes! I have done both, but neither gave me a meaningful insight to what has stalled my application. For GCMS provided their work in the year 2018 which was nil while no information for 2019. The agent was very sweet and mentioned that everything in my application looks good but it has been kept aside for review by the officer and reason is not known to them m

Dont withdraw and get your re-medicals done ASAP. You will hear from them soon. Good luck.
