AOR – July 17, 2018

ADR – August 13, 2018 (Additional docs were sent 2/3 days after.)

MEP – August 19, 2018

IP1 – August 19, 2018

IP2 – September 8, 2018

Updated Status: January 23, 2019 (MEP changed to “You do not need a medical exam… Etc. – My medical expired at around January.)


6th month: January 17, 2018


I’m getting crazy everyday checking my online application hoping that there will be even a small progress of my application. Any thoughts on these guys? Was it my expired medical caused the delay of my application?


Given the above status, there is still a huge % of PPR for this right?

Most of us are in the same boat here with u, when did u do your medical, I believe it is valid for one year. Check my signature :(:(:(:(:(cannot plan anything due to this delay, totally frustrating.

I did my medical January 2018. This is why i need to repeat medical. I am still waiting for their request but 'til now, no request yet.

Exaclty! I have too much planned in mind already and even cancelled some trips thinking that PPR is on the way on or before it will reach its 6th month. :(:( But I guess we all have to be patient and wait for our PPR to arrive.

Hi Everyone,

I have been following the threads here for quite some time now.

My AOR was 24th July.

It will almost be 7 months on 24th February.

Just would like to share my thoughts with everyone waiting for your PPR, I know it's hard to be patient when the wait is so daunting, but keep faith everyone all will fall into place.
We all are in the same boat and hopefully there for each other. But reading your thoughts and experiences helps me a lot, so thank you for sharing them.

what do you know about your application asides from what is on your application portal?

Received an update from cec ottawa today:

Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

What does the additional verification mean? Do they need to do extra verifications or is this a normal term?

Hi, did you receive this today? It’s a public holiday in Ontario, so I am surprised they are responding!

They've broken my will too. I was just going through the motions. I've had more positive visa experiences with America's USCIS and they're not exactly a crack team of professionals implementing an efficient and effective system.

Last night, I spoke to an agent, there is no updates, it is zero progress since September. But, he told me that he had sent message to the corresponding officer to make a final decision ASAP. Would that be possible? Could CSE agent send message to visa officers?
