Hey @tobs please enlighten me...what's the difference between info contained in gcms and cbsa?
Hey Dodoz,
GCMS contains detailed information about the entire application process. (Except Security that's kept to the barest minimum)
CBSA is a department in charge of security and their notes can help people that are suspecting that they may be in enhanced security screening to confirm or deny

@tobs I received my gcms notes and everything looks good except that I saw "Review required on statutory question'

Still not gotten any response to CSE raised but got a response to the email I sent to AVO.
"Dear ma, we acknowledge receipt of your email".

To me me, this doesn't say anything..does it?
Review required on statutory question is pretty normal for everyone who's had a visa refusal. That one would go away on it's own.

Hi, I have submitted my application on Jan 1and I have shown around 13000CAD(single applicant) as POF funds (considering the forex rate on Jan 1 against INR). But as the Forex fluctuate I am falling little short of 12669 CAD sometimes. I was thinking that POF amount will get locked against Forex rate on the day of AOR. But have seen a couple of forums suggesting otherwise as visa officer considers POF amount on the date of evaluation. Is it True? If so how can I update CIC and when.
I am posting this query here as some of July AOR folks might have gone through this situation as the INR to CAD forex was less in July and then drastically increased in the coming months.

Hi All,

We have just joined the six month club and I popped open a beer to celebrate the disappearing timeline bar on our IRCC homepage.

GCMS notes were ordered a week ago and CSE has been raised. I already have my next 3 CSEs drafted as I am expecting the normal standard responses.
According to our homepage, our eligibility is still under review which I find amazing as, and apologies if this sounds arrogant but; my wife is the primary applicant; she has a social work degree and related postgrad, both with an ECA; she has solid and easily verifiable work front line social work experience well above the minimum time required; and our travel history is disappointingly bland (I wish it was more exciting, I really do!).

So my question is this: are people aware of any or many instances where the eligibility remains incomplete on the homepage but the PR process is still ongoing? I.e is it possible that our homepage isn’t being updated but the process is further on than it appears? As, you may all be able to tell, I am searching furiously for optimistic crumbs of comfort!

Thanks and best wishes.

That will show in progress till your application is approved and COPR issued. It has no meaning.
Thanks for the reply. So in summary, the homepage, which could be a really good way of communicating with applicants about the progress of their application, thus stopping applicants from getting worried and contacting them after 3, 4 or 5 months, is actually useless?

As a (hopefully) future Canadian taxpayer, and someone who as experience in the time, effort and cost of setting up these systems, this is quite disappointing!

Just called IRCC for an status update.

Apparently my application is under review (she did not say what kind of review), but the agent could not or did not want to tell me if it was regarding eligibility (which was already 'met') or security (which was 'not started').

Also, she told me my application is in Visa Office is now Sydney NS. Before it was Ottawa.

I have noticed applications going to Sydney when everything is approved, but the fact that mine is still 'under review' got me a little worried. Besides that, she told me the review could last a few days, or months! (maybe it is just a default answer for reviews...)

Since she did not tell me the reason behind the review, is it possible that this review is the last decision review for a visa officer? Or could it be SS? Now I am wondering if it is worth ordering a new set of GCMS, or even CBSA... =s
It is not the case that file at final stage goes to nova scotia, after 6th month mine only medical clear, and at nova scotias... So what u think
