agghh, your luck won the first round against my luck :) congrats, seems like Ottawa office is faster than Montreal.
Perhaps Ottawa does not have the same volume of applicants. Most people immigrate through Toronto or Montreal. It is harder to settle through Ottawa. No metro. You will get frozen to a snow man before bus arrives to pick you up and get you to Service Canada to do SIN etc.

Well, it will balance out at the end - you will get ahead of me in the next round and it will be a close race again :p

Hi all, I am re-posting my inquiries below. I did not get any response previously and hoping someone in the forum would have some input.

I have couple questions:

1- Like others, I am not sure which Office is handling my file now. It is currently "In Process" but does not state which office anywhere in my ECAS status. I am applying from Sudbury, Ontario.

2- When I filed my application, I only entered my FIRST and LAST Name in the application; but my AOR Letter and ECAS is showing my MIDDLE/FATHER's Name as well and I believe this is because I have it on my passport. Would this cause any issues? Would this also show later on my passport? I only want to use my FIRST and LAST name as I have always done since my first day in Canada.

Your comments are appreciated.

Good Luck to all

Got AOR on August 17th

I don't think the name would be an issue. It seems they go by your passport name. You can just call them to double-check.

About the office, I don't think we would be notified which office handles what. I don't think they disclose that, but I might be wrong.

Hi all, someone mentioned putting N/A in any field will result in return of entire application? Is this true? It is so scary!

I can confirm that I typed N/A in one or two fields which were not applicable to me and received AOR. So I don't think you have to worry about it as long as you filled in all the required fields.

Hope it helps

Hi all, someone mentioned putting N/A in any field will result in return of entire application? Is this true? It is so scary!

I think it is the opposite - failure to put NA in non applicable fields and leaving them empty may result in file return (even the CIC video tutorial mentions it). If you put NA wherever you had to, you are good. Of course, if you only put NA in the entire address history or employmeny history section they may return it, but I am sure you did not ;)

I had a bunch of NAs too and got AOR, for example in some addresses there was no appartment number etc.

I did not put a single NA in my whole application, even in the fields which were not applicable. I just received my AOR yesterday so I am assuming everything is fine. Most of the questions are self-evident. If they asked you to explain something if you answered "Yes", but you answered "No", obviously the explanation part is not applicable to you. I don't think you should be writing NA's on every single line you left empty.
