This is not a good idea and you would end up biting your nails off. I have read earlier on CIC website that the applications post dated and signed will be rejected. I think it is not worth.

Can someone please advice me whether it would be okay to sign a later date in the application. Could the actual date in the application be the delivery date? I'm planning to mail my application tomorrow (Friday 07th) the earliest day it will be delivered is on the 10th Monday. By signing the application with Mondays date, it give me a added buffer totaling 1465 days

Any advice is appreciated, many thanks

Spreadsheet? I am not sure... I joined the forum today,.. so please feel free to educate...

Ooh.. okay..
So we have a spreadsheet going and many threads going in this forum for when everyone applied for their citizenship- This one is for ones who had their apps delivered in July aminly
It can be found here
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...bsAxpNlOrvk2uFGZzm_ZFCnfg/edit#gid=1216032789

You can tell us all the details and we can update your info in there too..it just helps to give a general idea of how long it usually has taken for citizenship applications to go through.. You probably applied a few months ago so we can add you in that particular sheet.

The details we need would be:
Citizenship Office:
Appl type: Single or family
No. of days in Canada:
Appl Mailed -
Appl Delivered -
AOR Received -
In Process -

Hi bhanump, Many thanks for the advice. I decided to wait and send the application on Monday dating it on the same day. Do you think a 5 day buffer is adequate? I am on day 1461.

Advice: never post date your signature!!!
Put the exact date you sign, this must be on or before the date you send the application, otherwise it will be returned back!!!

You better send it on Monday with 5 days buffer!!!

One of my friend will be applying in July and he has a question regarding Finger Printing. Who normally gets a request for FP? Is it only singles or a family can also get FP request? How much time do they provide to get the FP done? Can anyone please share timeline as to when the FP request comes in after submitting the application?

Hey,

You are welcome!
The 5 day buffer is more than adequate, in case you input all your absences in to the residency eligibility calculator. My brother applied last year with a buffer of 2 days and he did not face any issues.
