I have got a letter today from CIC dated 14th September asking for finger print report.

Taking the finger report is not a matter. Matter is I just arrived in my home country for a 4 weeks trip. Just 2 days before. Now to comply with 30 days deadline, I have to rush back to Canada and then come back again here and may be I have to get back again to Canada for the test sometime soon. Really confused.

I need to be here for family emergency as I will take my parents to Singapore and india for treatment.

Now this changes all!!

Guyz, Do you have to check (Tick) the Documents on the Docs check list you are sending, or you just have to attach the check list on top of application
I am not submitting any additional docs. so shall I Check (Tick) all the mandatory docs and mentioned N/A in front of additional Docs ? or just attached the print out of Check list without writing anything on it

Yes, you do have to check off whatever documents you are sending even if they are mandatory documents. You don't need to write N/A on the checklist, but you can write that on the forms whichever question is not applicable to you..

Just out of curiosity; once the ecas status changes to in process; what message does it show? Does it keep updating as they progress through the application, or it is one status with the same line of details until it eventually becomes Decision Made?

Does every applicant required to finger print? I am not aware of it . Where to go for finger print ? Any charges ?
I got a fingerprint request letter date Sept. 7th and I done with just now

Next update will be when they invite you for a test unless they need any other document, finger print or clarification from you.

Now I see why Ontario processing centers take the longest- they issue the most fingerprint requests! This is gonna last forever... I can't believe I am saying this but I should have lived in Regina... :(
