Hi Everyone

Needed suggestion regarding Citizenship
Application which I'm planning to
apply in week or so.

Question1:
Now Cic has added
Language proof requirement as well .
I did Bachelor's in INDIA and Post- Secondary graduation in Canada
These are in English.
Will these be sufficient? or Do I need to take any exam?

Question2:
What is 'Intend to Reside'?
Do I need to provide any documents for this.

Please Advise.

Thanks

Hi All,

I'm almost certain that my application will be returned, can I send a new one right now or I should wait to receive first one?
is there a form in returned application that I need to send with new one?

my application was sent from Toronto on July 28 and it was supposed to be delivered after long weekend (August 2), so I dated it August 1. but, it was delivered over night! on July 29. No AOR or return yet.
I was checking ECAS with UCI number and couldn't find anything till a few days ago that it shows my initial status for immigration.

Congrats - now that's what I call super fast processing. We are still awaiting (most of us) test invites, my little finger tells me that we will start hearing from CIC from next week-fingers crossed. In the meantime enjoy the summer or what's left of it and remain positive.

1. What you've done is criminal, because you lied in a document and left your signature there.

2. There is a big chance they won't charge you for this criminal act, but since it's a second attempt, be prepared for the RQ and approximately extra 6-12 months of processing time.

3. It doesn't matter how fast or slow post is. They always know when the mail was sent and compare that date with the application date.

Guaranteed to be returned. That's a big time misrepresentation. You are supposed to sign your application on or after you have accumulated 1460 days in which case you signed it before you are eligible to apply. Definitely they will send it back. Even if it was delivered on Aug 2nd they could have returned it...Good luck

Hi faraz_fahimi,

I found this in FAQ. I could not find any where that application will be rejected. I think to reject application or not is final decision of officer working on the file not members on this forum.

https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/redir.do?redir=faq

Q15: Why is it important that the application date used in the calculation and the date of signature on the application form and the calculation printout be the same?

A15: This is important so that there is no confusion on your application date because your eligibility for citizenship is based on that date. If there is confusion, there could be delays in processing your application while we try to clarify the situation, especially if one of the dates makes you ineligible for citizenship. If the confusion cannot be resolved, the information appearing in your application form will be taken as the correct information and used to determine eligibility.

thanks for your reply.
I found this in their website:

Note: If you sign your application more than three months before we get it or if you date it into the future, we will send it back to you. You must be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship the day before you sign the application form or earlier.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-how.asp
in submit your application.

I agree, it was a miscalculation on delivery date, although I was eligible before August 1. (1463 days)

Please don't be so melodramatic!
I was eligible to apply before August 1 (1463 days), just made a mistake so there is no lie or crime!
my question was about attached form to returned application.
