So I am on my way back to Toronto, done with landing. I sent my passport on Dec 2nd right after I got the PPR email. This Saturday got an email that mycic is updated; checked my return tracker and Yuppiiieeeeee!!! They sent the passport back on Friday and I should had to expect it on Monday; sometime around 11AM return tracker updated to deliver. Was at Rainbow bridge around 4PM And was leaveing the Canada office with a big smile around 5:30PM ish (I am from a country which needs fingerprints at U.S. boder).
Cheers to all who stood those harsh days of waiting And I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

Side note: I found no one but me waiting for their application to be processed by border officers; so I am assuming there is a relation between their friendly interactions and the number of applicants waiting.

Congratulation. May I ask if you were master or PhD? Im July 3rd, and im just losing my patience on why on earth my application process has taken longer others!

Master ONP, don't loose ground; we are seeing July applicants are getting PPR since September; just stay strong for some more days!

Regards

Decision Made.

Just got my PPR last December 1, 2016. 15 months total processing. I submitted my application last September 21, 2015.

Finally landed yesterday evening after receiving my landing papers. Got PPR 2nd December and received landing papers 10th December. Just over a week, super quick. At the border it was super smooth, there were a few others doing their PR also. Officer was friendly, just asked a few questions about the information on the paperwork. Hope everyone gets there PPR soon!! It will happen.

Congratulations! Which border did you go? That's really fast

Folks,

Do you know how to follow up for your GCMS note? Mine has passed the 31 days processing time line. I think the officers totally forgot about July applicants Lol

Email them: ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca

Word your email title easy to recognized as "process time has passed"

You'll then get an auto email, and get a response with your notes from them shortly after.

PS. If you applied on a Saturday or Sunday, they'll start counting the dates the following Monday on for 31 days.

Best of luck!

This is getting ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!

Called CIC yesterday about my application status, as I just hit the 17 month mark. The computer hang up on me because they were too busy. I had no chance to talk to an agent!!!
I called them back just right now.... after 25 min waiting and listening all the BS I finally got an agent. She asked me all my application details, and some of my personal details and guess what: she said that based on my voice ( throught the phone ) she thinks I`m not 35, so she said I`m not the applicant so she cannot tell me any information about my application status. WTF???????!!!!!!! F...ing CIC!!!!!!

All this after waiting 17 month!!! I`m getting angry guys! >:( >:( >:(

Send them an email through case specific enquiry!

And try to call them back in the early morning again a different agent might answer.

call center is a hit or miss. You might get a *censored word* rep or a really helpful rep

CSE is better as its all documented (It appears on GCMS note) but even that the officer might just give up. You've passed 16 months so you definitely have a case for them to escalate
