Hey guys,

I got a somewhat unusual question, but I really appreciate your help.

Should we let CIC know if we get a PROVINCIAL CONVICTION ?? I have checked the website several times and it only says we should let them know if our mailing address changes. However it does not talk about what you should do if you get a PROVINCIAL CONVICTION. I know a CRIMINAL CONVICTION will result in your deportation. PROVINCIAL CONVICTION won't result in you being deported however, I don't know if we should let CIC know if we got a PROVINCIAL CONVICTION or not. I have talked with several lawyers and some of them are not sure neither, although some say it is not necessary. Based on my experience, a lot of lawyers don't know what they are saying, so I trust you guys more!!

How did you get provincial conviction?

Thanks for your response. What do you mean how I got it? I just did something wrong and I got a ontario conviction.

No my nomination employment is not restricted.

I received passport request email today.

I think my case is different from others. I called CIC on October 18 2016, to know the status of my application in return CIC informed me a decision has been made on my application on Sep 2nd 2016 and also sent an email (PPR) to me. But,I explained them that i didn't receive any email(PPR) till now (October 18 2016). They palced me on hold for 5 minutes and said we have requested to resend the correspondence email and it will take 10 business days to process. They asked me to call back if i didn't receive any email by Nov 2, 2016.

Finally I received PPR today!!!
