I read on this forum several times that people contact their mp. Now i am wondering can you contact the mp even if you have a representative?
And what can the mp do , do they actually get any kind of info from cic ?

I am curious as i read about contacting mp by a couple of people on here.

I think you can contact them even if you have a representative.

Basically they usually get a bit more information than you could get by calling CIC.

In my notes I saw a note about when my MP office contacted asking about the status of my application. It says ''request for case specific via MP line''

So it looks like they have a contact line they use for inquiries.

I always wondered what the mps can do for applicants as quite a few people contacted their mp in the past as it seems.
Now i finally know

maybe is ok if you wait until the end of november and if you dont get PR, just apply for extension of wp starting december, if you do it online right now is taking aprox a month ish to get WP...so its all good, plus theres a big chance to get PR.

anyways everything is ok if you apply for Wp extension before your actual wp expire.

If for any reason you dont get wp extension before is expire you will be implied status and you can keep working until they give you the wp.

hey ya but the problem is ..
i have a travel in DECEMBER and in MARCH to my home country..
i had so much hopes PR will be doen by then and i can go peacefully..
now everything seems to be getting complicated because of this stupid CIC ...

so if i have to travel outside in December i need some permit right, that is the reason i was think i should probably apply for WP extension..

but that questionnaire is so tricky..
i am not sure what i need to answer for
1. medical taken in last 12 months
2. approved of principal nominee etc..

please suggest and help frends...

There are 2 options:
Privacy Act-FREE
Access to Information Act-$5

Here's the procedures:
1. Site: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/ (not 3rd party)
2. Fill in the form, please see below the important items you need to know.
- Department, select IRCC
- To be eligible, select Individual/Corporation currently in Canada
- Complete all your Personal Information, please take note that all info
with * should be filled up and put N/A if not necessary.
- Requesting on your own behalf: Yes
- Category that best describe you: Member of the Public
- How would receive the requested record: E-mail
- Select Privary Act, it is free
- Type of records: Case Files
- What type of record would you like to request, select Permanent Residence
- Which specific info are you looking for: The electronic notes of the immigration/citizenship officer

By the way, i received the requested records more than 31 days and I did sent follow up email to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca for 2 times. You will know further instructions once you have received the automatic email with your tracking number.

welcome to the club. I got my GMCS notes yesterday and my last update is August 18th.....when I got security passed. Everything is passed since then.......

When do you plan to comeback to canada?

By the way if you have bad luck than you will get your PPR shortly befor or during your travel
and I read somewhere that you have only 30 days to send your passport yo CIC/IRCC

for your 1. question
if you had your medical for PR done and I think passed than its a " YES "
if not than its a no

this question is impotant if you want work in childcare; primary/secondary school teachings or in any health service field occupations

the last time when I had to extent my WP, the only question I had problems with
was this one:

Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you
are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?

You have answer here with " Yes "
and it means that they have found your application complete
and that you have got your AOR

87arq, wasn't August 18th the same day that your Background Check passed from Not Needed at this Time to In Progress?
