How do you check e-cas? We just sent the paper work in 7/24 and it is scheduled to be delivered Wednesday. Do we get an email or something?

Go to https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/

Note that often the receipt numbers don't work...so then the only option is to wait for an email from CIC (called AOR) that has your UCI number in it. Sometimes there is a lag between receiving the email and your info being put into ECAS (or vice versa)

Some people have called to get their UCI number...but usually CIC won't give you any information unless the current processing time has passed (i.e. date they should have received it plus the processing time. So for you it would be July 29 plus 57 days. After that if you have not heard anything you can likely get answers if you call.

Hello everyone! Good news, its almost August! Meaning some of us who mailed our applications early July may be receiving their AORs soon. (Based on past forums)

Please let the rest of us know when you do receive an AOR, I'm sure it will make the rest of us feel better about the processing times.

Its been a while since I was on this forum as life was looking like it was going a different direction and we would be fulltime in the USA however, I am wondering what the processsing times are and how to understand them again. Basically if you all filed in July for Ottawa via outland, when are you hoping to enter Canada and receive PR and Healthcard?

Hello Moyo,

I cannot comment about how long it takes for the Health card, but I'm assuming it would come shortly after receiving PR.

For the outland sponsorship you are looking at :

Phase 1 : Evaluation of the sponsor (which currently takes 57 callendar days)
This phase would actually take place in Mississauga

Phase 2: Evaluation of the sponsored person (depends where it is processed)
Ottawa: 16 months
New York: 35 months
LA: 29 months

So the total processing time to get your PR would be Phase 1 + Phase 2

Start with yours...then if that doesn't work, your wife's...and if that doesn't work, you'll have to wait until 57 days after your application was received (courier signature) before you can call them (and actually I think you have to wait until after they post a date later than your receipt date on the CIC processing times page (right now they are on applications received week of May 25.

Mine was also signed by Mahmood
