Hi guys, i need some clarification about this:

the following 4th statement in my ecas DISAPPEARED 1 week ago, what does that mean? :o :o

4- Your file was transferred to the Scarborough Citizenship Operations office on February 4, 2015. The Scarborough Citizenship Operations office will contact you.

It happened with lots of members in this forum so don't worry.

Finally I had my oath today, and I'm now Canadian.. Thanks everyone for your support. Btw, I had to sign nothing related to intent to reside. Just regular criminality questionnaire.

Mine came in the mail after 8 business days, and they did not check on any of my guarantor / references.

I hope so, jrjayl. Thanks for ur support. Since u applied for the passport, is true that you have the option to show your place of birth in the passport?

Again congratulations.

All the best

This is the information I had found on passport canada:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/apply/omit-place-birth.asp
In certain circumstances, you can request that some information be omitted from your passport. If you do request to omit information on your passport, this may cause issues when travelling.
Place of birth

Your place of birth must be provided on the application form.

You may request that your place of birth not appear in the passport, but if you choose to do so, note the following:

Place of birth is mandatory for entry to some countries. You should contact the consulate or embassy of every country you plan to visit to ensure that you will be allowed entry if your passport does not indicate your place of birth.
You may have difficulty obtaining a visa.
You may experience delays at border crossings.

It is your responsibility to verify requirements before travelling.

If you do not want your place of birth to appear in the passport, you must complete and submit with your application a Request for a Canadian passport without place of birth (PPTC 077) (PDF, 82.88 KB).

So whether or not to show your place of birth is up to you. Just attach the proper request form along with your passport application.

Hi, Congrats... I have a question. Did you received Oath invitation by mail or right after you wrote the exam??? I am asking because I missed my first date scheduled in June. Thanks
