They gave me the oath letter on the spot after the interview

You became a Canadian citizen on February 18, 2015.

The interview was super smooth, the officer barely looked at my passport. Didn't even look at the translations that I had done of all non English stamps and just asked what I was doing right now, that was about it. She was super friendly!! Not at all what I was expecting based on what I had heard. She then said she doesn't have any concerns and gave me an oath letter on the spot. She also emphasized that I should only bring my PR and Landing paper for the oath and nothing else. The oath ceremony was roughly 2 and half hours long that was about it, short and sweet.
The next day I was already in the system thus I applied for my passport.

Congrats, pal! The Vancouver office is really slow and weird in the sense of handing out oaths.
Thank you! yeah I agree it seems a bit weird how they do the stuff in Vancouver, but I'm sure if will come along shortly... thanks for all your help throughout this process and best of luck on your future endeavors!

Can you advise on the Citizenship test preparation... like do we need to rememeber all the names, years... Is it recommended to sign-up for paid sample test sites... etc.., Appreciate it.

TEST INVITE! Today there's the much desired 5th line in my eCAS status, informing of the test 2 weeks from today. I understand that the letter itself should say whether same-day oath can be expected. Wouldn't that be grand. The letter should be in my mailbox Monday or Tuesday.
Cheers, all.

Hi,

did you receive the invitation letter for the test? if yes, what does it say?

Thanks

It tells me where to go and what to bring:
the notice itself
2 pieces of ID (one with photo)
all original documents used for application
PR card
all passports and/or travel documents in my possession
Also, it emphasizes that the official booklet/study guide "Discover Canada" is the only material we need to study for the test.
