My letter was signed September 29 (that's when it started processing), but I received the letter + book on Nov. 10. Ridiculously slow. Test date TBD...

Our applications was received 31st July but ecas noted it as 1st Aug:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 1, 2014.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 1, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on November 13, 2014.

Very happy that it is now in the system. But 1st August instead of 31st July - does it mean our applications will be subject to new rules?

New rules will be applicable from 1st July 2015

CIC called me today as I have requested a name fix .. they had a problem writing my name and they fixed it.

I asked them about the file Status .. the file is spending security clearance from the Canadian Intelligence once this is ready I will get the test .. that what the I was told .. my file is in Mississauga since mid-October.

According to my knowledge that all clearances including the one from Canadian Intelligence must be done in Sydney,NS ; its weird (abnormal) that your file being transferred tp the local office before the Intelligence check had completed

Received line disapeared: November 3
Transfer to local office: November 14

for filling the citizenship for adults and in the Question 6E ( the addresses in the past 4 years )

DO i have to put that the days i was in my country before i come to canada and then when i came to canada,?

another question, during the 4 years i only went to 2 places shoud i write mexico and then back to canada and then visitng mexico and then back to canada and so on?

in another words do they need me to write everytime i went out and came back?

If you lived in another place and you had a residential address there then the answer is yes but if you went to Mexico just for visit or vacation then you don't need to put it there.

But You must report your absent from Canada (visit/vacation/live) in the online calculator sheet.

In general any residential address during past four years has be entered in 6E

the truth is i used to live in mexico before i came to canada, and since i was had my PR, i went just to visit my family in mexico around 4 times during the 4 years,

so what do you recommend ??

I'm not sure but I think Sydney is a CPC and they are doing paper screening. Means they make sure all the required documents are there and then they will transfer it to the local office. It's not their responsibility to make sure the documents are valid or fake.

Local office (CIC) will go through each document and if they need security check they will ask Sydney (CPC) to do it for them. Because only CPC has access to criminal records.

That's what I thought.
