sure, I will. Did you send the letter by mail or did you use case specific inquiry?Soon to be said:No, I sent a letter with proof of delivery to Nova Scotia with explanation that my application was received on July 25th and that there is no record of it.... Hope it will help
I would appreciate if you can update me if you get a response.
Good luck
You seem to be one of those applicants who have been receiving email confirmations -- did you have any case number starting with C000... in the email? Either way, no need to worry. This would be equivalent to an active e-cas. Perhaps ecas will be active later on, but what's important is that your application is in process.babu76 said:Hi,
I have applied for Citizenship for my self and my daughter. Application received on 16JUL2014 (per Canada post). However, i received confirmation email from CIC on 17SEP2014 and email says, application has been received and met the criteria for citizenship.
Since then there is no email or post. i did not receive book yet, even though they provided weblink for the book in the confirmation mail. But my eCAS has never been updated. I dont see anything about citizenship application in my eCAS. Did it happen to anyone? is it common not updating eCAS at all after receiving citizenship application. In general when will they update eCAS after receiving the application? I appreciate your response.
Sent both email and regular mail. I am going to start preparing my second application just in case I will not get any response until the end of the moth.Mra2618 said:sure, I will. Did you send the letter by mail or did you use case specific inquiry?
Too early in my opinion. I believe it is hard to miss any applications once inside CIC. The massive storming of applications in June due to C-24 panic may be delaying things longer than recent time lines.Soon to be said:Sent both email and regular mail. Hope for the best
Not every government thing is slow. In some areas, they are very fast though. For example, when it comes to things about collecting tax, they are very very fast. Or penalty issuance, they are one of the fastest in the world. But I agree with you that when it comes to citizenship processing, they are too slow. Maybe we need CRA to process the citizenship, then we'll see people getting oath letter in the matter of weeks after application sent.Donvalley said:Too early in my opinion. This is a Govt. machinery, unfortunately like anything Govt. this grinds very slow. So patience is important and the only way to go.
Very insightful! ThanksBLT said:Not every government thing is slow. In some areas, they are very fast though. For example, when it comes to things about collecting tax, they are very very fast.
