dont worry it really takes time to appear in Ecas. I submitted my applications September 2013 and it appears Ecas Nov 2013. They will put it on ECAS then they will send you the reviewer on the same day.
As long as it is received by CIC do not worry anymore.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I am getting a little worried about my application because I sent it to Sydney on July 7th and it was received on July11th. Until now I am not seen anything on e-cas or any AOR by e-mail.
I am wondering what's going on with my application. Anyone else going through this same problem?
I am going to wait until the end of this month and if I don't see anything on e-cas then I'll have to send a Case Specific Inquiry.

Same situation, submitted on July 7th (via Purolator). No news at all. Called call-center and was told that they're opening June 19th applications. Weeks pass and this June 19th date does not change (at least for call center agents). Isn't that weird? :-X

What is your timeline? I got my papers back in 50 days and sent them back. It is processing as a new application.

My initial application was sent on July 31.

Did you send a new application or the same one?
Did you added a cover letter?

I need to add a new address on the application form (address from abroad) so I guess I'll need to send a new one.

Hi Morzilla,
I sent the same application replacing the Residence calculator form (as i missed to put a date on it, my appl was returned). I didn't add any covering letter. Though you send the same appl or new appl, still they consider it as new appl and the processing time is normal.

When did you send it?

Is the received date the date they actually receive it or its a later date that they decide to open and "receive" it?

No it is the actual date as per Canada post. So that means they know exactly when the package arrived. (I sent it 22 of July and it arrived there on the 25th)
