It's not written anywhere, it's just wisdom, so to speak. You are a free person, so feel free to travel. My duty here on the forum is primarily egoistic (to gather information for my own sake), but it is sometimes altruistic (to advise you to refrain from taking any actions which might raise the suspicion levels of the high-school graduate who will review your case).

+1 thanks for the warning. I wasn't aware of the risks associated with long trips until you mentioned it. This is my 2nd mat leave and during my first mat leave I was away for 5 months, so looks like I'm likely to recieve an RQ :(

its getting faster and faster..........

Congrats! Curious -- did you see this on ECAS, or was it an email? How did you log on to ecas (i.e. Client ID, or any other identifier)?

Mine was received Jul 22, no update as of yet.

it is also possible to receive email AOR for some applicants. Check your email also including junk mail box as it should arrive soon if it is the case for you.
otherwise you should be getting ECAS update pretty soon as well.

sent my application on July 9, received by CIC on July 14.
Haven't heard anything yet!
:'(

Like BLT, I am also scared to post my update and didn't mean to stress anyone. Please take it with a positive spirit that all our applications are moving forward in a fast pace.

I called CIC today and the agent told me that my application is already in vancouver office and they will be scheduling my test date and will soon hear an update through mail.

Wish all the July applicants the best and they get their updates very soon.

Scared to post update now. Some people are being unsatisfied and think that everybody applied later shouldn't get good news before they get it, and will use the post as a miserable comparison.

I am getting a little worried about my application because I sent it to Sydney on July 7th and it was received on July11th. Until now I am not seen anything on e-cas or any AOR by e-mail.
I am wondering what's going on with my application. Anyone else going through this same problem?
I am going to wait until the end of this month and if I don't see anything on e-cas then I'll have to send a Case Specific Inquiry.

dont worry it really takes time to appear in Ecas. I submitted my applications September 2013 and it appears Ecas Nov 2013. They will put it on ECAS then they will send you the reviewer on the same day.
As long as it is received by CIC do not worry anymore.
