Did your ecas status change to say they sent you test letter?

My ecase didn't change. Just shows in process. I received the letter by mail.
Good luck to all, hope all will receive test invite soon.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 28, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 7, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on January 12, 2015.

Have a travel plan on May12, any suggestion? How long does it actually take to transfer to the local office and get the test date?

My timeline is similar. I thought file will transfer in few days like many others but seems to be stuck there. There is no clear cut answer, it might be days or months. You might get a test letter even when ECAS shows in process. May 2015 trip should be fine as the whole process should be complete latest by April 2015 just by judging other timelines in recent history.

Hope this helps!

Based on the average case, it should take about 2 months for you to get the test invite. (ok, let's say max. Two months.). Should be fine with your travel plans. Cheers.

I called CIC this morning, and they informed me that my Citizenship Test is on 3rd February, 2015 in Scarborough office. I have not received any letter from CIC about this test, and the agent told me to take some documents with two pieces of ID and present it to the officer.

I am quite worried as what kind of questions are asked in the exam?? Anyways, I will have this week to prepare for the exam.

Does anyone know whether we get the Oath letter by mail or it is handed on the same day in Scarborough office. I am travelling to India for three weeks from 19th February onwards; hopefully, Oath does not happen at that time.

I send my application on 16th July, and it was received by CIC on 17th July, 2014.

thanks, i've checked my status this morning. it's said that "Your file was transferred to the Scarborough Citizenship Operations office on January 23, 2015. The Scarborough Citizenship Operations office will contact you." Does this means that all documents check has been done and ready for schedule test date?

Just wanted to update my status

I got test invitation for Feb. 9th today. The letter was dated Jan. 23th.

I took me four months after " in process" to get test letter.

Good luck for the rest of the group if still there is anybody left,

It's really hard to tell. Depend on the local visa office and some other criteria it might be different. For me it took 3 months . It's better to check it with the applicant exactly from your visa office.

I checked mine and I knew the average for my office would be between 3 to 4. Mine is the worst and I don't think any other office would take more. Then just my wild guess for your case would be between 2 to 3 months

Good luck!

Hi guys,

I am also a July 2014 applicant and have been monitoring this thread closely for a while now. I just have one quick question - any idea how long does Vancouver office take to schedule a test? My application (family - 2 people) has been in process (according to ECAS) since October 8, 2014 and I still have not got a test date. Any Vancouver applicants with a test date here? I have not got a RQ however I had been traveling quite a lot prior to submitting my application (mostly 1-day US trips - I live just by the borders so I was travelling there all the time - shopping, gas, hiking - at least once a week for the past few years but I always went just for the day).

Thank you and all the luck to all of you.
