Congrats.
I'd like to know how long after your MR did you received the ready for visa email? Was it close to 10 months? I have not get MR yet and wish to figure out how many months are remaining.

Did you received RPRF request or you did it upfront ?

If your medical is already received, there is nothing to worry about, even if your status is expiring, IMHO.

Anyway, congratulation! I hope I will get the wonderful Christmas gift too!

I didn't do the RPRF upfront.
I got the RPRF request in July, 2015.

And yes, I got the Christmas present too! They just sent me a passport request.

You know what happened? I did an up-front medical on August 2015 and called the CIC a couple of weeks ago, in which they said they had not received my medicals (mine and my wife's). Being informed that there is usually a 3-month delay, I sent them an email this morning that I did my medicals and sent an email with the receipts. A couple of hours later, they sent me the passport request!

Moral of the story is, if you did up-front medical and it has been more than 3 months since, email them!

A similar case happened before too. They sent me a medical request, then I sent them an email saying that I already did 2 months earlier. They sent me a RPRF on the same day.

So, yeah, if you have been told by the CIC or anybody else to just wait until the CIC reaches back to you, don't. Call and/or email them.

Hi Mahendra ...Congrats ....To which email ID have you sent the eMail

I think it depends on the office. My applications are in Ottawa, thus cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca.

So, yeah, don't just sit there if you have been waiting for more than a few months. Call and/or email them.

Hello Mr.mahe, we are not just sitting over here without contacting CIC. I have done already but there is no response yet, and I know people here did too. But I think it depends, so please dont make a statement just because you think you only contacted CIC and they treated only you with proper response. I think there is more than that. I guess we better talk facts here than making our own statements.

Hope you understand.

Thanks,
