You have applied under CEC, and you said you got your ITA under FSW. Go ahead and apply EE also as long as your both applications are in different stream.

Hi Ali,
so if my EE application is in FSW and current one is in CEC thats ok? i dont need to retract/cancel one of the applications?
Regards,
Mesum

Hello Everyone

I just checked my ecas status. They have added another line which they should have added a year ago. but just wondering if anyone sees same thing in ecas status. Below is the text copied from ecas:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on July 14, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on September 12, 2014. ( ADDED TODAY)

Note: Still waiting for MR request but done with upfront.

Same here, received app on July 2014 and started processing on Sep 2014.

Not sure what that means...

Hi Everyone,

I am a July 25th applicant under CEC PR category and awaiting for my medicals. Based on my CEC application, I took an open work permit which is valid until 8th Dec 2015.

Could anyone please suggest if I am eligible to apply for another open work permit. The reason I am asking this question is that , CIC website indicates me to apply as a visitor.

Appreciate your quick response.

Thank you.

Yes, you can apply again until you not received decision on your application
You are eligible to re-apply

Guys,
I have added CIC Ottawa email address and a letter requesting CIC to prioritize our application better. We still need more applicants to sign this petition. I would urge you all to promote this link as much as possible, so CIC knows about US!!

Thank you catchme288 for quick response.

I have also just confirmed the same with CIC. CIC recommends that one should apply for an extension at least 30 days prior to WP expiry.
