Just go to the border buddy. It is very simple and you will be out of there in a matter of minutes. Just make sure you do not go on peak hours and check the border wait times online. Also, try to stick with less busy crossings. Also, make sure that the crossing you are going to does immigration services. It's better to call than to check online because sometimes a crossing does immigration but for some reason the website says otherwise. Hope it helps. Good luck.

Thanks and thank you all.
today I received email from calgary office, appointment scheduled for July 28. I hope everything goes smooth.
do I have to declare any funds and valuables? Please share your views/experiences...
Thanks

Hello all

Recd my Ppr. My immigration lawyer says he has to include a cover letter with passport. And he keeps on delaying in sending it. Is it necessary? He won't tell me what it contains. I want my CoPR fast. But he's delaying it. Should I just send it directly? :-[

Thank you

My lawyer told me the same thing and I listened to him. Although if I were to do it again, I would just send it on my own. Read and follow the instructions carefully from the passport request email. Or just go to your lawyer and then let him do what he wants to do and later on just mail it yourself. Good luck bud.

I provided upfront medical results(8th July) and today second line appeared....Medical results received.

Same for me medical results received updated, had provided upfront medicals in March 2015.

PS: I am a March 2014 CEC applicant though...

Hello aceventura001,

Is your file awaiting for second review by officer? I see you have applied in March 2014. Just curious..

Yes, second review as per GCMS notes in July 2015. Though today ECAs changed to medicals received, don't know what that implies...

Nice... good to see some progress on July applications... eagerly waiting for my PPR!

You can reply back to CIC asking for a change in visa office to New Delhi - they should respond back within 1-3 weeks but I've seen it get delayed a lot... best would be to follow up with Delhi Consulate after 4-5 days of sending the email (this has helped a lot of guys as New Delhi Consulate has been flexible in helping complete the visa stamping).

Good luck. :)

Thanks, I had sent the mail yesterday night ( IST time) mentioning the same and today morning ( IST time ) I have got a response from the CIC asking me to submit the passports at the New Delhi office along with the Request letter.

I have a question, as i am in Chennai, Would it be safe to send the PP through the Courier or should I actually go in person.? Could you please advise

Thanks in advance !

Great going.. CIC has been very prompt for you. :)

All visa stampings in India are coordinated through VFS. you should reach out to VFS Chennai and confirm the next steps. If the stamping is to be done at New Delhi, it will anyway be couriered by VFS to New Delhi (you don't need to do it directly). You can submit the passport in person to your local VFS office and even collect it in person from them after stamping (you can also opt for it to be delivered through courier locally but if I were you, I would do it in person).

Good luck... you're almost there!

How long takes Ottawa office to send back the passports?

Thanks,

My passports reached them on July 16th. Return tracker activated on July 22nd and I received the passports today July 24th. Looks like they stamped on July 17th.

Still waiting for their reply. No status change, no progress. ::)
