Hi people,

I have a question...

If I have been ask for the MR (we send them las week of April), does it mean that I wasn't send to 2nd review?

I was requested to pay the RPRF 2 months ago (May-15) , I haven't ask for the notes coz I was expecting the "ready for visa" email soon, but now, I just run out of patient.

How can I request the "notes"?

Timeline:

1. we received your application on July 3, 2014
2. we started processing your application on May 12, 2015
3. we received your MR (somewhere between April29 and May 15)
-=-=-
RPRF requested on May 15 and Paid May 19

nothing since then

buddy just relax, takes time for the updates

Hi karankullar,

Are you able to update your SIN now? Or do you have to wait till you get your PR card to do that?

Thanks

Yes I was able to get a new SIN. Right after crossing the border, I went to Service Canada office and was out in 25 mins with a new SIN.

my bowp will expire next January.
My AOR is Aug 20, and applied for bowp in Oct.
I have done MR and RPRF in May, and now I am waiting for PPR.
I am not optimistic I can get PPR in one month or two. :(

So my question is can I apply for another bowp again?

Yes.

:o i thought you can work for a maximum of 4 years in Canada.

So you can keep re-applying for BOWP until a decision is made on your submitted PR application ?

Yes, there is no limit on how many BOWPs you can get - as long as your application is in progress and past AOR you can apply every year. The 4 year limit does not apply (a friend of mine spent over 3 years on BOWPs alone)

You may extend it, as long as CIC approves it.

CIC website: www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob485.asp

"The open WP is to be valid for the duration of one year from the date of issuance. Although the PR application should normally be finalized within a year, subsequent requests from applicants to extend their stay on an open WP will be considered on a case-by-case basis."

Hi everyone, just wanted to advise that I received my CoPR on July 13th (it's dated as July 6th). I plan to do a border crossing in the next couple of weeks. Thank you for all of your assistance over the last year - it has been very helpful. Good luck to everyone still awaiting PR - it will happen! xx

Hi Wavy,

Hi Everyone,

I received my RPRF request 4 weeks ago, & paid in the same date, still no update from CIC. I have 2 questions to ask:

1- Can I request GCMS bi-weekly, or should I wait to receive one before order another?

2- I found on my GCMS that my Criminality (2) is "in progress". can you specify for me how many Criminality & security assessments you can see on your GCMS & how long did it take for each to be done?

Thanks,
