Finally became PR today , completed landing process at CIC office.
it was very quick, the whole process took around 10-15 minutes including SIN number.

Completed landing formalities same day at Rainbow bridge. 8)
Finally became PR of Canada

Could you please tell me how many days it took for PPR after RPRF request? I got RPRF on Friday, 19th June and paid on 20th June. Waiting for PPR now.

urgent! Have a query,

the CIC had requested a SCHEDULE A forms for my spouse and myself, after i had got RPRF fee request. The deadline for the CIC to receive it is June 26. As am in INDIA, i have sent the forms through FEDEX and it is struck in Newark, NJ fedex hub for 5 days now, and seems they have misplaced the documents and are searching it.

Is it possible that I can send a email to CIC and ask them for an extension of the date because of this delay ...... any help / advice is aporeciated !!

I would fax cic the requested information along with the FedEx waybill or receipt to let them know that you have already sent it and its in transit. don't take a chance for extension just fax the information or email it.

I can see 2nd line on ECAS:
We started processing your application on June 22, 2015.
Medical received line is also there as 3rd line.

I have paid RPRF last week and emailed CIC.

Do I need to do something from my end here now OR I'll get further instructions from CIC?

After Paying RPRF, mine status in ecas was changed to Decision Made after 1-2 days and got PPR after 4 days.

ECAS shows fourth line updated '4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.'.

Waiting for Passport Request. Please update the sheet.

Any idea how many days it will take for Passport Request? and Whether decision is Approved or not?

Hi Kand05,


Once you get VISA and CPR document, call CIC helpdesk number and request for an appoitment.
They will book appointment and send confirmation via email within 1-2 weeks about appoitment date and time.

I called on June 5th and got reply on June 12th for appointment on june 22nd .

At CIC office, it took only 10-15 minutes to complete whole provcess, they did not ask anything except 3 general question which most of people answers'No' .
1. Crime
2. Have you VISA rejection
3. Have you ever asked to leave Canada.

Whole process was very quick then excepted.

hi

I hope to go to school for my masters which starts September 10. Do you think it is reasonable to expect that my file will be approved by then?

My timeline is:

Application received July 29
Credit Card charged: Oct 10
AOR Received: Oct 14
Medicals done: 15 Apr

Im still waiting on my bridge permit to come through as well so cant apply for a study permit just yet either.

Any recommendations / advice?
