Congrats.....you can send an email to CIC to change the visa office for printing permanent resident visa for your wife to her current country of residence.

Send the same request along with your passport when you send it Ottawa for your visa printing. Somethings CIC responds to such requests in a day or two and sometimes it may take anything between 10-15 days.

I am eagerly awaiting PPR email. My application status changed to Decision made about 2 weeks ago. Hope its good news. Btw, does visa ready email indicate the timeline (no. of days) by which the passport has to reach CIC? The reason I ask is, I have an important travel coming up and I have confirmed tickets. If the "ready for visa" email comes closer to the travel date, I may have to request CIC to extend the timeline.

Can anyone help here? Whats the process? Appreciate your time..

Are you from a visa exempt country?

Did you call CIC and inquire about your application? I am sure its a positive decision but its always better to hear it from the not so friendly CIC agents.

I have seen a few posts wherein the applicant requested and was allowed an extension to submit the passports.

How long do you usually get before you can submit your Passport?

Also, how long are they taking to issue the visa and send the passports back?

I don't really remember!! I only started tracking the application after receiving MR. But if you are asking about the date my second line shows then its 11th June.

Don't know if that helps. And when you say 10 to 15 days to get the passport back.... are they 10-15 working days?

It is 10-15 calender days. You can refer to this sheet for more information:

Hello,

I have only recently found this forum and I am glad to have found such useful info.
My details for the Spreadsheet are:
NOC: 1215
Date received: 21-July-2014
AOR: 24-Sept-2014

I still have not received Medical Requests for my spouse and I which is beginning to worry me.

We are Australian and moved to the UK on work visas when our Canadian Visas expired. I emailed the CIO last week to update our current address, but was wondering if I need to update anything else?

Thank you for allowing me to join, it is great to chat to other people who are going through the same process.
