My passport has only name field and both first and last name are entered as FName LName. Though in PR application I entered it separately, in all CIC docs my first and last name are in family name column & given name is blank in my new BOWP and MR form.

Did anybody encounter this situation? And how to correct this with CIC?

Any advise would be appreciated!!!

Hi...I believe CIC will go according to your passport details. I aint sure if something can be done now unless you change the details on your passport and inform CIC about that.

Experienced members please clarify.

Here are my 2 cents.

There is nothing that needs to be done at your end. It is very common in North America to put both your first name & last name in the last name column and the leave the first name column blank as the last name column cannot be left blank. It is similar to buying air tickets wherein there has to be a last name whether it appears on your passport or not.

Hope this helps.
